Default message board lingo

Hey Xray Amy,

Maybe we should create a cheat sheet of message board abbreviations, such as sahm, dh, lol, kwim, etc. That would make posting messages quicker but everyone would know what the other is trying to say, or is there a good reference link for this online already.

Well since I just recently figured out what sahm means and I have no clue what kwim means, I'm certainly not the one that could do this! I bet you'd be good though Stacy! I haven't done a search for forum/message board lingo yet but maybe there is something out there we could pull from. I think it's a great idea Stacy....wanna help?

Amy

Default kwim, etc

Here are a few I have learned, but I am not an expert this is only the 3rd message board I've actually joined and the other 2 I stopped posting to pretty quickly because they weren't very busy. Here goes...

kwim - know what I mean
dh - dear husband
ds - dear son
dd - dear daughter
dss - dear step son
dsd - dear step daughter
mil - mother in law
fil - father in law
lrss - local rubber stamp store
lss - local scrapbooking store

and don't forget lol - laugh out loud

anybody else know of some

Great Stacy. People can add to it in this thread and once I get a list I'll paste them all together and make it a sticky.

Default site lingo

How about some for those of us who have fuzzy kids (dogs, cats, others)?
Maybe something for life/co-partners?
Thanks Amy for the great outlet for sharing our creative juices.

Actually the lingo were talking about is widely used, not stuff we're just making up right now. However....nothing wrong with making up some RSC lingo!
Thanks for joining alsmouse!

One I've seen on another stamping message board is:
CASE - copy and steal everything
Apparently it is considered a compliment to have your artwork CASEd - it means someone liked it enough that they tried to reproduce your work.
