Hello my stamping friends:

I got a request for a swap for a Corset Fat Book Swap:

Dont you all get scared now as we will have loads of time to work on this swap if you decide to participate in it....

Here is what I'm talking about:

I will provide the template by snail mail if you want to participate..

Details are as follows:

Sign ups start Today: Labor Day
Sign Ups end: October 5th, 2011

You will Make one corset page for each participant . TEN PARTICIPANTS.....
You will make your front and back covers for your corset book using the template.

NIOTE: Any one wanting their books more than 10 pages not including the covers let me know by PM and I will add your name on the bottom list... My friend Norma and I will match one for one of your extra pages ......

The Corset pages are to be cut out of heavy card stock or you can even use file folders to cut out the templates for the covers and the pages as its also heavy and wont be seen anyways... They are to be decorated as you wish wether with fabrics using fusible web or using scrap book papers and embelishments.. Remember these are corset pages so the prettier and facier looks the better..
You are to decorate the back of the page too and must add your signature and date on the back of each of your pages so your friends see who created what.

There has to be Rubberstamping either on the front of your pages or on the backs..
You use what ever stamps you want to use to decorate your pages either in the front or the backs...

You will use any materials or techniques you want ....any embelishments you want... Laces, fabric, beads, ribbons, fibers, pearls, sequens, etc....

PLEASE NO DIGITALS.....

You will then mail your front and back covers along with the other pages to me when completed along with $5.00 this is basically for the rings I will buy to put the books together for each of you and the shipping cost. I dont have a book binder so rings I will use... So really its basically dont think I will be pocketing any money cause I'm not as I will be shipping Priority Mail to each of you....When I participated in the corset fat book you see I had to send 10.00 so you see I'm not making any monies...

Some times its hard to tell postage cause of the embelishments that will be used on these pages but i can garantee they will be lovely works of arts .

You are to use strong sturdy card stock for your front and back covers, or other supplies you may know of to make your covers.... Remember the covers are your pages to your book....

Nice strong cardstock have to be used in the corset pages...

When are these pages due to ship to me: Last day in December 2011
And I will assemble the books and send back In January 2012...

This is plenty of time to start on these pages as people sign up and still be ahead of the game...

Feel free to ask anyquestions i might have missed..
Remember I supply the template by snail mail....

Interesting, but need more information. each page is to have a corset on it? and we are to do a page for every participant? What size is this? will it be like a corset fat book?
Inquiring minds need to know before the get committed. I'm sure there will be more questions from me, I always have them.

Dear Marianclare:

The corset template I will mail to each participant so that we all have the same template.

We have to decorate the front part of each page as it were a real corset using fabirc or papers and laces etc etc etc...
The back part of Each page has to be decorated as well.... but must have something stamped and decorated and signed.

So since its a corset template you can maybe stamp a smaller corset if you got one or fancy hat or fancy dress or a fancy dressed woman or anything vintage would go too... Really anything goes... the idea is that we have a decorated page on front and back and stamped image on the back of each page.

The size is aprox 3-1/2 wide and 4-1/2 long so not too big at all....

Yes you make a page for each participant..

There is plenty of time to do this swap if the sign ups are early

I will be mailing templates this friday to those signed up by then and so on...

I will keep a template aside for you ... Just give me a holler when you want to join and I will mail it that fast..

If you join now you will get to play with the template now and see what ideas you come up with and be ahead....

I've never used foam board but i bought a panel of it in walmart today and I will see if i can cut out my template for my front and back covers of my book...
The pages for my participating friends will be cardstock or file folders as it wont be seen since both sides will be covered.

I bought heat and bond today at walmart too for 1.97 a yard So i think i got enough for all that participate...

Please ask questions if you not sure .....

Thanks lillibet, I must be having a senior moment., but not quite old enough that i remember corsets.......Can you take a pic of a page spread in your album? I'm still not quite getting it. Why am I always the last to understand these things. guess cuz I'm a visual person.

I'll sign up anyway then maybe I can figure it out.
