the idea of an art walk sounds absolutly fun..wish my old small country town would get up and start doing things like that for our community..sounds so great..you get to see a little of everyones art types

Usually they are not so much community events but events run by a group of local merchants in the hopes of generating foot traffic and finding new customers. Maybe the chamber of commerce would be a good starting point inkkyjo. Or maybe there is another type of business association in your town.

Each little community on the peninsula has a chamber that organizes them... they do draw out a crowd.
